“In the providence of God, governments were intended to be the servants, not the masters of the people. This eternal truth needs to be emphasized and re-emphasized.” Elder Ezra Taft Benson

Heritage Foundation Surveys

This week, I received a letter and survey from The Heritage Foundation.

The Heritage Foundation is the intellectual engine driving the conservative movement. They have the best ideas and the most reliable research on the issues! They are non-partisan and their top concern is what's best for America.

They are sending out surveys all across the nation asking taxpayers directly how they feel about what is going on in our nation and in Washington D.C.

I've filled it out and mailed it back! If you get one in the mail, fill it out! Send it in! They want to know what YOU want and what YOU think because YOU are America. It's "the little people" (as government sees us) who make America what it is. Take a stand! Don't let men take away our freedom.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day. :)

  1. By the way, Breeana, how do you think we should deal with the "pre-existing" conditions that people have? I don't think it's right for government to be involved with health care or nor force health insurance to pay for people they don't want to. I know health insurance is for people who prepaid to make sure that when something happens they can get money to pay for it. But how do you deal with problems such as pre-existing? I've been thinking about this for a while. Still a free market person but some people see as a "flaw" for people with pre-existing conditions.

  2. So you mean what CAN be done as a better alternative to Pelosi's Public Option (although it wouldn't be an option, we'd be forced or punished)? You don't feel it's right for government to be involved nor do you believe in insurance agencies having to cover anyone they don't want to cover. However, how can we help those who already have a need but don't or can't get health insurance?

Here's what Romney did in Massachussetts (scroll to bottom to see brief points of what they did and how they got 98% of the state insured). It's BETTER than what's being offered, but it's still not the best. I don't think anyone should be taxed more for not having insurance, but at least it wasn't as much as what's being proposed now.

Free Market is everything; making INDIVIDUALS the key decision-makers would change EVERYTHING for the better (for individuals, healthcare providers, and insurance companies). When the government does NOT get involved, insurance companies are left to compete, therefore EXPANDING what they offer and LOWERING costs! Companies have to watch their backs because of the government, therefore options are limited and prices go up (since govt. charges THEM).

  3. Thanks, Breeana! It made me feel better knowing how to explain to people how to solve what they thought was the flaw to free market. :)
